Terms and Conditions

AJ Wesley Chapel Concrete Company, wesleychapelconcretecompany.com, team@wesleychapelconcretecompany.com

Agreeing to these terms

These terms cover your use of the AJ Wesley Chapel Concrete Company website and any work you hire us to do. By browsing the site, sending us a request or accepting an estimate, you agree to them, so please read them before you book.

If you've signed a written agreement or estimate with us for a specific job, that document controls wherever it says something different from this page. This page fills in everything the agreement doesn't cover.

You can get back to the home page at any time, and you can read more about who we are on our About page.

What we do

We're a concrete contractor based in Wesley Chapel, FL. We pour and repair driveways, patios, sidewalks, pool decks, steps, garage floors, slabs, footings, foundations and retaining walls, and we also do stamped and decorative work and concrete cutting.

The information on this site is a general description of our services and the trade. It isn't a promise that any particular job can be done a certain way at your house, because that depends on what we find once we see the site.

Estimates and pricing

Our estimates are free, done on site and come with no obligation. An estimate is based on what we can see and measure that day, including the size of the area, what's there now, access for trucks and the finish you choose.

Some things only show up once the old concrete is out or the ground is open, such as soft or wet subgrade, which is the soil the slab sits on, buried debris, tree roots or old footings. If we find something that changes the work, we'll stop, show you and agree on any added cost with you before we go ahead.

Changes you ask for after the estimate is accepted, like a bigger footprint, a different finish or added steel, may change the price and the schedule. We'll confirm those in writing before we do them.

Scheduling, weather and cancellation

We schedule pours around the weather because concrete placed in heavy rain or poured into a soaked base doesn't hold up. If rain, a storm or extreme heat makes a pour day unsafe for the concrete, we'll move it to the next workable day, and that isn't a breach on either side.

Delays can also come from concrete supply, permit or inspection timing, or a site that isn't ready, such as vehicles, furniture or plants left in the work area. We'll keep you posted when the date has to move.

If you need to cancel or reschedule, call us as soon as you know. If we've already ordered concrete or materials for your job, or done prep work, you may owe for those costs, and your written agreement will spell out how that's handled.

What we ask of you

Please make sure we have clear access to the work area and tell us about anything underground we can't see, such as sprinkler lines, private gas or electric lines, septic parts or drainage pipes. Public utility lines are located before we dig, but private lines on your property usually aren't marked, so we rely on you to point them out.

Keep people, pets and vehicles off new concrete until we tell you it's ready. Curing is the waiting time while the concrete gains its strength, and using a slab too early is one of the most common reasons it cracks or marks.

Payment

Payment terms for each job, including any deposit and when the balance is due, are set out in your estimate or written agreement. Unless that document says otherwise, the balance is due when the work is finished.

If a payment is late, we may pause any remaining work until the account is brought current. You're responsible for reasonable costs we incur collecting an unpaid balance, where Florida law allows it.

Our work and what concrete does on its own

We're licensed and fully insured, and we stand behind our work. Any specific warranty on your job is the one written in your agreement, and no other warranty is given unless it's in writing from us.

Concrete can get small hairline cracks no matter how well it's placed, because it shrinks as it dries. We cut control joints, which are planned grooves in the slab, so that cracks tend to form along those lines, but fine cracks elsewhere are a normal trait of concrete and not a defect in themselves.

Color and texture can vary from one pour to the next and within the same slab, especially on stamped and colored work, and patches or additions won't match older concrete exactly. Settling or damage caused by things outside our work, such as poor drainage from roofs or yards, soil movement, tree roots, chemicals, de-icing products or loads heavier than the slab was built for, isn't covered.

Apart from what's written in your agreement, the website and our services are provided as they are, and we don't make any other warranties, express or implied, to the extent Florida law allows.

Limits on our liability

Our total liability for any claim about a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job. We aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost use of your driveway, rental costs or lost income, to the extent the law allows.

Concrete trucks and equipment are heavy, and getting them to the work area can mark lawns or crack older pavement they have to cross. We'll talk with you about the access route before the job, and we aren't responsible for that kind of damage along a route we agreed on together, or for damage to private underground lines that weren't pointed out to us.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that Florida law doesn't allow a business to limit.

If something goes wrong

If you're unhappy with any part of our work, call us first and give us a fair chance to look at it and make it right. Most problems get settled faster that way than any other.

If we can't settle it together, either of us may bring the matter to a court with authority over the county where the work was done. Each side pays its own costs unless a court orders otherwise or your agreement says something different.

Governing law

These terms and any work we do for you are governed by the laws of the State of Florida.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, and the version posted on this page is the one in effect. Changes won't affect a job already under a signed agreement unless we both agree in writing.
